The Grand Pricks.

What makes me think that both the Monkey and the Organ Grinder have serious problems with their common (VERY common!) choice of hair stylists?

A Portrait of a Blogger as an old Poet.

In the new spirit of undisclosed referential creativity approved by the judges of the Wynne Prize, I have entered the Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize with following poem, "My Holland" which celebrates all that is Dutch.

"I love a fog bound country, a land of frozen lakes,
Of ragged windmill vanes, of bogs and flooding dykes.
I love her low horizons, I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her waterways – the wide flat land for me!"

The Libs regaining their moJoe?

"The Liberals appear to be moving towards a deal that would make Joe Hockey leader, with Tony Abbott as shadow treasurer as a consolation prize."

"The man charged with turning that sentiment around is the avuncular Workplace Relations Minister Joe Hockey. His task wasn’t helped yesterday when it was revealed that an actor involved in making the Government’s own Workchoices advertisement entitled ‘Protection for under 18s’, appears to be exploiting his young workers."

Where have I heard that term, "Uncle Joe" before?

Dame Nelly Farnham.

“I’m tired of being retired,” Farnham, 59, said as he made the announcement at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre.

Farnham said he was inspired to get back into the business after performing his hit You’re The Voice with Coldplay at the Sydney Sound Relief concert this year.

“When I walked off stage I was two-foot taller,” he said.

(And it would seem, some two-foot wider.)

Farnsey and Meat Loaf, spot the difference ... to the nearest kilogram.

Sol Trujillo, the cut and runner (returned to the United States more than a month earlier than expected) amigo has a vent.

Oops, shouldn’t have said that. It might be foolishly misconstrued by some unkind folks as racist.

Not that I should have anything against a ‘take the money – some several million dollars later - and run’ Mexican who has gutted the Telstra Alamo shareholders by some 37%,

Go you good thing Solly

The new Simpsons ‘I didn’t do it’ amigo.

"If you're seeing me on the news again, it's means I'm naked...."

March 16, 2009 08:51am

UPDATE 1.04pm: Peter Costello has again denied nude photographs seen in the media yesterday are of him, saying he has “had enough”.

In the media spotlight today, where he is not campaigning to win leadership of the Liberal Party, an emotional Mr Costello denied that the man in the photos was him.

Speaking to a large media contingent, Mr Costello listed several points which he said proved the story leaked to media by Malcolm Tumbrel was untrue, 'The Daily Astonisher' reports.

The photos were allegedly taken by a former friend, controversial photographer, Bill Henson.

He said that at the time the photos were allegedly taken neither he nor the seat of Higgins were even remotely well stacked.
